River Necker The River Necker, a sixth order river in the eastern prealpine region of Switzerland, drains a catchment of 126 km2 of which about one third is forested. The mean annual discharge at the river mouth is 4.6 m3/s. The flow regime is flashy, i.e. bed moving spates may occur at any time of the year.
